WINTER PARK, Fla. (970 WFLA) - With two months until election day, Winter Springs-based Gravis Marketing has a new poll out on the governor's race and the controversial medical marijuana amendment.
Aside from the governor's race, the issue getting the most attention in Florida and beyond is Amendment 2.
“Amendment 2 is at 64 percent. Gravis has been polling monthly on this issue and we’ve seen it steadily climb. So it looks like it’s gonna pass,” Gravis President Doug Kaplan Said.
Other polls that have shown support as high as 88% did not ask the question the way it will appear on the ballot, Kaplan said.
There's still plenty of time for the opposition to kick up the spending he said to try to defeat Amendment 2.
Kaplan says at this point, the Florida governor's race is a dead heat with 37% each for Rick Scott and Charlie Crist, with 26% undecided.
He's not on the ballot, but President Obama could be a drag on democrats in November's midterm election. The Gravis Marketing poll finds Florida voters are not happy with the job Obama is doing with 38 percent approval.
