(970 WFLA) - The primary election is Tuesday August 26, 2014. Some have already voted and some have not. Here are some figures reported by local election supervisors offices as well as links to information you may need on election day.

Hillsborough County is reporting a higher voter turnout than previous years.

The unofficial turnout for Early Voting and Vote By Mail was 75,835. That's higher than the turnout before Election Day for both the 2010 and 2012 Primaries.

During the 2010 Primary, fewer than 57,500 voters voted before Election Day, and during the 2012 Primary, fewer than 61,000 voters voted before Election Day.

2,439 votes were cast at Early Vote sites Sunday for a total of 19,401 and there were 56,434 votes by mail.

In Pinellas County, 104,334 votes cast by mail, 1856 in early voting.

In Pasco County, 18,415 votes were cast by mail and 5767 in early voting.

Hernando County election officials are reporting 9362 votes cast by mail and 2127 during early voting.

Election Day polling places will be open 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 26. 

The general election is November 4, 2014. Some of the biggest issues then will be the race for governor and the medical marijuana amendment.

When you go to the polling place to vote, you will be asked to provide a current and valid picture identification with a signature. Approved forms of picture identification are: Florida driver's license; Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles; United States passport; debit or credit card; military identification; student identification; retirement center identification; neighborhood association identification; and public assistance identification. (Section 101.043, F.S.) If the picture identification does not contain a signature, you will be asked to provide an additional identification with your signature.
