Tampa's Mayor Jane Castor plans to move forward with a stay at home order in the city of Tampa, telling WFLA-TV News Channel 8 it could be issued as soon as Wednesday morning, and would be in effect 24 hours a day.
The move comes after a Hillsborough County emergency panel rejected Castor's call for a countywide shelter in place order, and as St. Petersburg's mayor has been talking about issuing his own stay at home order.
Governor DeSantis has continued to reject calls for a statewide lockdown.
