Florida will no longer publish daily COVID cases

The Florida Department of Health announced they will no longer be publishing daily covid cases. Daily positive tests and deaths have been reported by many news outlets since spring of 2020, but Governor Ron Destantis's office says they made the decision to stop publishing the data based on the fact that Florida's positivity rate has been below 5% for several months, and vaccines are now widely available for free. The governor's State of Emergency is set to expire on June 26, and will not be extended further.
