The longest tenured Buccaneer is experiencing a new head coach and a new position.  Ronde Barber, who has played cornerback all of this career, is making the transition to safety this season.

"I'm getting used to it," Barber said.  "It's not that big of a change.  There's some technique things and defintely some learning things, but it's all right."

Barber is not worried about the position change, either.  He only cares about making plays for this football team.

"This is football.  We can make it out to be a lot of different things, you can write stories about the position change," Barber said.  "To me, it's just football.  I get a chance to be an impact player in this defense."

Barber also said his new position allows him to attack the ball more often, in comparison to his previous years playing cornerback.

"There's one benefit of being a little bit farther back in the backfield, you get a good chance to see the quarterback, which has always been a strength of mine," he said.  "They're [the coaches] putting my strength to the test, and I'm looking forward to it."
