The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they have promoted DT Pep Levingston to the 53-man roster from the team's practice squad and waived G/T Derek Hardman.
Levingston (6-4, 292) originally entered the league in 2011 with Seattle as a 7th-round pick (205th overall) from Louisiana State University. He spent the 2011 season with the Seahawks, playing in four games, before joining the Buccaneers this season.
A four-year letterman at LSU, Levingston played in 48 career games, including 22 starts in his final two seasons. He recorded 70 career tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and three sacks during his career.
