After a couple of days off, the 6-8 Bucs were back at work today as they prepare for Sunday’s home game against the 6-7-1 Rams.  It’s the final home game of the season for Tampa Bay, who’s trying to snap a 4-game losing streak.  St. Louis has won 3 of their last 4.

Here’s the Bucs injury report: TE Luke Stocker (head/nose) and DE Aaron Morgan (shoulder) were limited on Wednesday.  DE Michael Bennett (shoulder), DE Da’Quan Bowers (hamstring), LB LaVonte David (knee), WR Mike Williams (wrist) and CB LeQuan Lewis (knee) were all full participants in practice.

Notable injuries for the Saints: CB Cortland Finnegan (thigh), LB James Laurinitis (back), C Scott Wells (knee), DE Robert Quinn (illness), CB Bradley Fletcher (illness) and RB Steven Jackson (illness) all did not practice.

News & Notes:

  • Rams head coach Jeff Fisher doesn’t understand the criticism surrounding Bucs QB Josh Freeman: “He’s a very talented athlete, quarterback….makes good decisions.  There’s really no need for frustration.  There should be nothing but optimism with Josh.  I think he’s got a tremendous future ahead of him”.
  • Bucs DE Da’Quan Bowers says there is no finger-pointing: “Offense don’t point at the defense and the defense don’t point at the offense”.
  • Bucs LB Adam Hayward refused to talk about the sideline incident with assistant Bryan Cox from Sunday.
  • Bucs WR coach P.J. Fleck will finish the season with the team before moving on to his new job.  Yesterday, Fleck was named the head coach at Western Michigan.  That’s a key loss for the Bucs coaching staff.
  • The team has until 1pm Thursday to meet the 85% ticket requirement in order to avoid another blackout.  Don’t hold your breath.
