Beyoncé will headline the halftime show this year, which will be streamed online for the first time ever at CBSSports.com. Seven hours of pre-game coverage will take place before the kickoff on CBS, which is scheduled for 6:30 PM Eastern on February 3^rd.

CBS has sold out of ad slots for the upcoming telecast of Super Bowl XLVII (47) at a record average cost of 3.8-million dollars for a 30-second spot.  Some ads were sold for more than four-million bucks.

One of TV’s longest-running soaps, Days of Our Lives, has been renewed through 2014.  The show marks its 12-thousandth episode tomorrow (January 11^th). Days premiered in 1965!!!

A new study says people who drink diet sodas or fruit drinks are much more likely to be depressed than normal people . . . up to 50 percent more, for the fruit drinks.  (--But it doesn't say the diet drinks CAUSE depression.  In fact it's probably the other way around . . . another study found evidence that depressed people tend to crave more sweet foods.)

It sounds like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are finally over for good. The on-again/off-again couple got into a huge fight while vacationing in Mexico December 30^th, prompting Gomez to fly home to Los Angeles, and an insider says this time “Selena won’t forgive him.”  Another source adds, “Selena is done with him.”  Apparently Justin isn’t handling the split well. Said an insider, “he’s been really down about the breakup.”

On JIMMY KIMMEL'S first night in his new timeslot, he beat his idol DAVID LETTERMAN . . . but wasn't able to outdraw his enemy JAY LENO.  Kimmel had about 200,000 more viewers than Letterman on Tuesday night, but roughly 200,000 less than Leno.
